What is a Giclee?
Giclee is a printing technique resulting in an extremely high quality fine art print. Most gallery artists use this form of reproduction for their paintings. Giclee is a French word (as are most art terms) that literally means “to squirt”. The process is an ink-jet mechanism of which our printing company has a patented system. They have produced giclees for artists and quality design stores (you know their names because they’re famous) for decades. They use museum quality inks, papers and canvases with UV stability and enduring quality with a lovely matte finish…a piece to pass on years from now. Our goal is to deliver the look, feel, and impact of the original art. We believe it’s a gold standard in this area of lasting art prints.
Another helpful aspect of giclee printing is the variety of sizes, and therefore commensurate prices, that can be attained through this printing process. Giclee is customized to meet your needs! Home with Art prints are available in many sizes to accommodate a small, intimate expression or oversized art prints for that big WOW factor—beautiful, impactful art at an accessible price.

Can I return a print?
Because each print is custom made per your order we do not offer returns. Please do contact us if your print arrives damaged. We hope you can understand the nature of things with our small business and this policy. Thank you.
-
Can you explain shipping costs?
YES! SHIPPING IS FREE!
However, art prints stretched on a wood frame will necessitate special shipping arrangements if they are larger than 36”x48”. Standard shipping ends at this point and so this is our cut off for complimentary shipping.
Stretched canvas art prints larger than 36”x48” need a freight quote. I would recommend ordering the very large prints unstretched. When you receive your XXL art print you can take it to a framer or be handy yourself and stretch it. Youtube has great tutorials for, well, EVERYTHING!! That said, from a design perspective, I cannot overestimate the value of show stopping, very impactful, extremely large art in a setting, home or office. I am pleased to offer that to you! -
How will my art be shipped to me?
All SMALLER art prints ( 11”x14”or smaller) are shipped flat on cardboard in a shipping envelope.
All other UNSTRETCHED paper OR canvas is rolled and shipped in a strong cardboard tube, including XXL sizes.
STRETCHED CANVAS is gallery-wrapped on a wood frame, ready to hang or frame.
Stretched art prints are shipped in art boxes and mailed UPS ground.
PLEASE ALLOW 3 WEEKS FOR DELIVERY.
ALL XXL STRETCHED CANVAS gallery-wrapped art prints needs special arrangements for shipping. You can contact me via email! -
What is a Gallery-wrapped Stretched canvas art print?
A “Gallery-Wrapped” stretched art print is canvas stretched over a wooden frame that is thicker and meant to hang on your wall with or without a frame…more expensive initially, but potentially without the cost of a frame! This is convenient for you and more contemporary in form. In this application, each art print comes with a “mirror” edging. The frame sides are exposed and will have a “mirror” image of the painting from the point of the edge between sides and front. Below is a visual example for you to see what I’m trying to explain with mere words!

Rolled prints: How do I flatten my art print once out of the shipping tube?
The best way to flatten your art print is to prepare a smooth, hard surface for working. Clean it of any grit and particles. Place the print face down on the protective paper sleeve or archival paper it was shipped with and cover the art print with heavy books overnight. Make sure that nothing is poking the art print. If it’s still a bit curled after a day, you can carefully roll the artwork in the opposite direction of the curl, gently and very carefully so as not to crease the art print.

What size of art print should I buy?
Generally speaking, bigger is better. There are many reasons for this. I have some design principles that I think create the kind of environment that feels thoughtful and balanced in scale. (I will explain more about this in detail through Monday Mail to help you create the kind of design that will serve you well and create beauty for you!)
Basic guidelines for selecting the size of art print are:
From where will you most commonly view the art?
In a chair by your bed? A smaller print is more suitable.
On the opposite wall from your entry? Go really BIG! Never underestimate the WOW factor to set the tone for a dynamic first impression…and possibly a foundation for designing a space.
In SHOP COLLECTIONS you will find examples of our art in various sizes and settings to help you envision how our paintings might look in your space. The diagram below can help you with measurements and ordering, as well. -
What do you recommend for framing?
The options for framing are endless! I recommend everything from making your own frame out of weathered fence boards to Target and especially custom frames for a contemporary “drop in” slim looking, sophisticated frame. This is probably my favorite and probably the most expensive. Youtube is a great resource for framing ideas and methods. And remember, Gallery-Wrapped Stretched canvas art prints don’t need a frame at all if you’re wanting a minimalist, contemporary look!

Can I commission a painting?
At this point we are focused on making a wonderful selection of prints, so unfortunately no. However, please feel free to email me with suggestions and even a beautiful photo if you have one. I may get inspired! I also reserve the right to change my mind, but I need to focus on the task at hand before expanding to commissions.

What gave you the idea for an Art Print website?
Working in Interior design for so long I knew that people are drawn to large, impactful Art. The problem is that most of us have moderate budgets, at least most of the people that I know. At the same time, I began to have a yearning to paint and make Fine Art Paintings…and the “imaginer” in me started to put the pieces together and VOILA!... an art website idea was born!
Of course, this is after many, many paintings. I like the idea of helping people gain access to more specialized art that they can make a personal connection to...especially large sized Art images that don’t break the bank. I feel that there is a gap, especially in very large pieces, between, essentially poster quality big box store art and what you might find in a gallery…or perhaps something that you could commission an artist to paint for you. Have you priced a large custom painting? Or maybe you’d rather go to France? Anyway…I DO value fine art VERY much and I do think it’s worth the money, but not all of us have thousands to spend on a painting to go over our living room sofa. In either case, the main point is that you would have access to Art that you can enjoy for years to come. I hope to be a part of that! -
Why do you have MONDAY MAIL?
Monday Mail is important to me for a few reasons. Connection to you, the announcement of new paintings and my desire to help you to thrive with beauty and creativity in your daily life. I want to pass along the things that I know and enjoy…shared enjoyment is one of the most wonderful gifts there is!
I’ve had so many friends…young and old(er) who have asked me if I can show them how to do____? Or can I do _____with you? Or how did you do _____? The feedback I have gotten from, mostly younger generations, is that they’d love some guidance or encouragement on all things creative and…grandma hobbies! Creativity is satisfyingly beautiful, because it’s from your hands. Did you know that your brain is very happy when you do things with our hands? It’s true! Therefore I will talk about and demonstrate gardening, flowers, antiques, sewing, crafting, cooking and entertaining with ease, painting and other forms of art, decorating, personal thoughts on life…and on and on. After all, I was the girl who dated my sewing machine in high school instead of boys, so I’ve been at this QUITE a while. I’d like to share it with you…pass it along and hope that you do the same. Creativity gives life to the soul..and I think we all could use a little more of that, right? Please remember, this is for YOU. It is meant to be a gift. Oh, and tell you when new paintings drop because that’s my creative pursuit. I want to keep in touch with you via email because it is a platform that I can control…It’s private, and not susceptible to large corporate shenanigans. -
Is Beau for rent?
No, but if you stay in my Airbnb you can snuggle him!
